World Research uses MENTOR, a flexible and sophistocated statistical analysis and tabulation
system designed specifically for market and opinion research, to produce cross tabs, or "banners."
These banners can include up to 18 banner points, or "buckets", across the top, and generally include a table for each
question in a survey. These banner points can be defined by any questions, or combination of questions, in the data file. Mean summaries, top and bottom box summaries, and breakout tables are also generally included for
multi-attribute and ratings questions.
Processing a tabulation job typically consists of several steps:
- setting up the data file
- defining the data descriptions and variables
- cleaning the data
- generating new data from existing data
- printing the tables
Statistics included in the cross tabs include means, medians, standard deviations and significance testing.
